I have added code which request external URL and pass your distribution type and version to my own VPS when you are installing FastNetMon.
I have do it for two cases:
- Determine most popular OS and switch to binary distribution
- I want to graph nice graphics about amount in toolkit installs 🙂
This information will be NEVER shared with any third party. Also we will not mention your in any public stats.
All analytics and graphics will be anonymized because I care about your privacy.
So if you do not want to share this information with me you could disable it with special flag:
--do-not-track-me
