Event Recap – TRNOG Izmir

FastNetMon was pleased to attend TRNOG event in Izmir on May 24, 2025. This was the second official event organised by the Turkish Network Operators Group (TRNOG), following the successful launch in Ankara earlier this year.

TRNOG is a non-profit community of network engineers committed to advancing internet infrastructure and collaboration across Turkey. The Izmir event continued this mission, bringing together professionals from ISPs, telecom companies, academia, and the wider networking community.

TRNOG Speakers with Pavel Odintsov: Seher Sağıroğlu, Osman Makal, Serkan Gencel, Abdullah Ayaz, Nurhan Nasuflar, Yaşar Semih Alev, Mahmut Aydın, Gökhan Candoğan, Salih Alçın, Mehmet Usanmaz, Oğuzhan Yılmaz.

The day featured a full schedule of technical presentations, networking sessions, and discussions around the future of TRNOG. The event opened with a session on the group’s roadmap and formalisation process, followed by a diverse range of topics including:

Talks from representatives of Nokia, Huawei, and Türk Telekom added depth to the day’s discussions, with highly technical sessions covering current and emerging issues in network operations.

As with the Ankara event, TRNOG Izmir concluded with an open mic session, giving participants the chance to share thoughts, ask questions, and contribute ideas to the community. The event drew strong attendance and engagement throughout the day, highlighting the momentum behind the TRNOG initiative.

FastNetMon is proud to support this growing community and remains committed to contributing to the exchange of knowledge and collaboration among network professionals in Turkey.
