CLNOG 2025 Chilean Network Operator Group Event Recap

On 21 March 2025, we had the pleasure of attending CLNOG 2025, held in Santiago, Chile. This event brought together network operators and industry experts from across the region, highlighting Chile’s role as a key hub of network connectivity in Latin America. It was a fantastic opportunity to be part of this vibrant community.

The event kicked off with a warm welcome from Patricia Peña of ISOC Chile, who introduced CLNOG’s objectives and projects. The agenda featured a range of insightful presentations, including Vinicius Esteves from Netflix discussing their CDN strategies, and Ariel Weher from LACNOG sharing updates on their initiatives.

Our own CTO, Pavel Odintsov, took the stage to present on DDoS detection and mitigation techniques. His session covered the latest strategies for recognising and countering denial-of-service attacks, providing valuable insights to attendees.

Following a brief break, the programme continued with Hugo Salgado from Tucows Domains discussing the 2026 DNS root key rollover, a critical topic for maintaining internet security.

The day concluded with a “Peer & Beer” session, offering a relaxed environment for networking and conversation over drinks. It was a great chance to connect with peers and discuss the day’s learnings.

We are grateful to the organisers, speakers, and attendees for making CLNOG 2025 happen. We look forward to future opportunities to contribute to the community, and meet again soon!
